Media personality Ashmusy has sparked conversations online after opening up about marriage, motherhood and her plans for starting a family during a podcast appearance on Echo Room.

Speaking candidly during the discussion, Ashmusy said she is already certain about becoming a mother and does not feel pressured to rush into marriage because of societal expectations or biological timelines.

According to her, many women hurry into marriage in their late twenties or early thirties because of fears surrounding their biological clock, which she believes can sometimes lead to wrong decisions.

“I am already sure of being a mum. Many women that rush into marriage maybe in their late 20’s and early 30’s do so cause of biological clock story. With that rush, you end up getting into the wrong marriage which I almost did,” she said.

The influencer further revealed that she has frozen her eggs as part of her long term family planning.

“If I don’t get married early enough, I’m already secured because I have frozen my eggs,” she disclosed.

Ashmusy also stated that when she is ready to have children, she plans to go through insemination and expressed a preference for having mixed-race children.

Her comments have since triggered mixed reactions across social media, with many Nigerians debating modern relationships, motherhood and evolving family choices among young women.
