Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has sparked emotional reactions online after calling for urgent national attention over the increasing cases of missing children in Nigeria.
In a strongly worded statement shared online, the actor questioned why the country continues with celebrations and festivities while many families are desperately searching for their missing children.
“Children are missing. This country cannot keep celebrating while families are searching for their children. Shut everything down!” he wrote.
Kunle Remi also directed part of his message at citizens who constantly defend the government regardless of national issues, warning that the consequences of silence and indifference may eventually affect everyone.
The actor further criticized leaders who remain silent during moments of national distress, stating that silence in the face of suffering could one day be met with silence in return.
He also sent a stern warning to individuals allegedly involved in crimes against children, declaring that justice and consequences would eventually catch up with them.
