The Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN), has trained 20 students on interior decoration skills in Bauchi State..

Its Executive Director, Habiba Usman, said this at the inauguration of a one-day training exercise, yesterday in Bauchi.

She said the gesture aimed at inspiring creativity and developing the participants’ mindsets, to enable them to use recycled materials to create interior decorations.

“We organised this training to introduce the youths to the concept of recycling household materials for interior decoration.

“We also used other materials such as paints to create minimalist canvas art and abstract designs suitable for beginners,’’ she said.

Usman said plans were underway to integrate such creative training into the FOMWAN school curriculum in the near future.

Some of the participants commended the gesture, describing it as a stepping stone toward understanding and interpreting creative art.

Highlight of the event included practical sessions to expose the participants to modern interior decoration skillss.
