Content creator Peller has spoken about his experience after spending nearly five days in police detention following his arrest over allegations of driving a vehicle with tinted windows and no license plate.
In a series of emotional posts shared after his release, Peller said the experience was the toughest ordeal he had ever faced.
“I can’t show my face yet. Omo, I slept in the cell for almost five days. It has never happened to me before in my life. They wanted to deal with me, but God saved me.”
He claimed he neither ate nor bathed throughout his time in custody, adding that the experience left him emotionally shaken.
“I didn’t eat for four good days. I didn’t bathe. I am ugly now. Until you have problems, that’s when you will know that nobody is really there for you.”
Reflecting on the incident, the content creator said it had changed his outlook on life, stressing that he now intends to avoid unnecessary confrontations.
“Even if a five-year-old child slaps me now, I will just look. I will avoid trouble because trouble doesn’t want to avoid me.”
Peller also revealed that his immediate focus is his forthcoming wedding, adding that he hopes to relocate abroad afterwards.
“My wedding is what is on my mind now. I just want to move carefully. After my wedding, I want to relocate.”
He also recalled a lighthearted moment from his time in detention, saying fellow inmates jokingly referred to him as “001,” a nickname popularised by Afrobeats star Davido.
“As they put me inside the cell, people there said I was the 001. I just burst out laughing.”
Peller was arrested after a viral video showed him arguing with police officers who had stopped his vehicle. According to reports, he was detained over allegations that the vehicle had tinted windows and was being driven without a license plate.
Following his release, fans flooded social media with messages of relief and support, while others expressed hope that the incident would serve as a learning experience. Some also questioned the circumstances surrounding his arrest and urged him to be more cautious in his dealings with law enforcement.
