Veteran Nollywood actor Yinka Quadri has been inducted as a Special Marshal of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) during a ceremony held at the agency’s headquarters in Oshodi, Lagos.

The induction took place on July 14, with LASTMA’s General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, officially decorating the veteran actor and presenting him with his Special Marshal kit.

The appointment forms part of LASTMA’s Special Marshal programme, an initiative aimed at involving respected public figures, celebrities, community leaders and other stakeholders in promoting traffic safety and responsible road use across Lagos State.

Rather than focusing solely on traffic enforcement, the programme seeks to leverage the influence of prominent personalities to encourage motorists and residents to obey traffic regulations, drive responsibly and contribute to a more orderly transport system.

By joining the initiative, Yinka Quadri is expected to serve as an ambassador for road safety, using his platform to advocate for discipline, compliance with traffic laws and safer roads across the state.
