Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has once again openly declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, insisting that his loyalty to the Nigerian leader is spiritually guided.
Speaking during an appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, the actor said he has supported Tinubu long before the popular “City Boy” political slogan became widespread and sees no reason to hide his political stance.
“I stand by President Tinubu. I started supporting Tinubu even before ‘City Boy’ came. So now that there’s City Boy, yes I am, and I support Tinubu. I no dey hide am,” he said.
According to Yul Edochie, his decision to support the president is deeply connected to his faith and personal relationship with God.
The actor stated that God continually directs him on major life decisions, including political choices, and keeps pointing him toward supporting Tinubu despite public criticism and backlash.
“God has always shown me who to support and he keeps showing me Tinubu. And I’m going to stand by him,” he added.
Yul further explained that many people may not understand his decisions because they do not see things from his perspective spiritually.
“Everything I do, once it comes to my personal life and decisions, I listen to God,” he stated.
The controversial actor also disclosed that he repeatedly seeks confirmation from God concerning his support for Tinubu and believes he continues to receive the same answer.
