Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has opened up about his views on politics and governance in Nigeria, revealing that he has never voted in any election because he no longer believes in the country’s direction.

Speaking during a recent episode of the Off The Record podcast, the rapper explained that many of the changes he once hoped for in Nigeria never happened, leaving him disillusioned about the future of the country.

According to Blaqbonez, he believes Nigeria’s leaders are simply a reflection of its citizens, adding that he sees little difference between political parties.

The rapper also suggested that something drastic would need to happen before he could truly believe in the vision of Nigeria again.

During the discussion, the conversation shifted to the possibility of younger leadership in Africa, with the podcast host questioning why African countries rarely produce young presidents. In response, Blaqbonez jokingly hinted that he might one day run for office himself.

His comments have since sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians debating politics, voter participation and the future of leadership in the country.
