Super Eagles have suffered a major blow as first-choice goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has suffered both knee and ankle injuries.
Nigeria’s Head Coach, Eric Chelle, disclosed this during a media parley yesterday ahead of Nigeria’s 2025 AFCON final group stage fixture against Uganda today.
The Malian, however, said he will decide which goalkeeper will be in goal for the Super Eagles against Uganda after his side’s final training yesterday.
“He [Nwabali] has a little pain in his knee and has problems with his ankle,” Chelle said.
“We have a final training before the match, and then I will decide.
“We will manage for the team.”
Chelle’s men currently top Group C with six points and are through to the last-16 stage after beating Tunisia at the weekend.
