A prosecution witness has told a Lagos court that he paid ₦69.15 million to Blessing Nkiruka Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, for a five-year lease of a property allegedly misrepresented as belonging to the social media influencer.

Dr Onuoha Okeigwe gave the testimony on Monday, October 12, 2026, during the continuation of Blessing CEO’s trial before Justice R. A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos.

The influencer was arraigned by the Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on June 9, 2026, on a two count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing, involving ₦69,150,000. She pleaded not guilty to the charges.

According to the charge, Blessing CEO allegedly induced Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited to pay the sum on the representation that a property at No. 1 Tunbosun Osobu Street, Lekki, belonged to her and was being leased to the company for five years.

During his testimony, Okeigwe said he contacted the defendant after concerns arose over the property. He told the court that a man identified as Mr Tom later arrived with police officers and arrested some of the workers.

“I informed the defendant, and she claimed she did not know Mr Tom. I paid ₦100,000 to secure the release of my workers. Blessing still maintained that she did not know Mr Tom and that she was the owner of the property,” the witness said.

Okeigwe also identified WhatsApp messages in which the defendant allegedly sent photographs of the building as evidence of her ownership.

The witness further told the court that he paid additional charges, including agency, legal and caution fees, in connection with the transaction.

He maintained that the alleged misrepresentation centred on the claim that Blessing CEO owned the property despite collecting ₦69.15 million from him.

Okeigwe also alleged that the defendant collected money from him and another individual for the same property.

Blessing CEO has denied the charges by pleading not guilty. The allegations remain before the court, which will determine the case based on the evidence presented.
