The Nationwide League One (NLO) has fixed Sept. 19 to Sept. 27 for zonal play-offs for state league winners and runners-up seeking promotion to the NLO Division Two (U-19 Youth League).
The NLO announced this in a circular dated Aug. 31 and signed by its Chief Operating Officer, Dr Olushola Ogunnowo.
According to the league body, the play-offs will hold across the six geo-political zones of the country.
The NLO has consequently directed all State Football Associations and the FCT Football Association to submit the names of their respective state league winners and runners-up for the current season.
The deadline for submission is Sept. 15.
The league body urged the football associations to ensure prompt submission to facilitate preparations for the zonal play-offs.
The competition is expected to provide a pathway for young footballers from state leagues to progress into the NLO Division Two U-19 Youth League.
It also called on the qualified clubs to prepare for active participation in the upcoming play-offs.
Participating clubs must fully complete their player registration via the official Nationwide League One Portal.
They must submit primary school certificates to confirm player age metrics and satisfy all state Football Association (FA) clearance protocols.
