The management team of Nigerian dancer and singer Poco Lee has addressed claims circulating online about his ongoing legal case in the United Kingdom, specifically narratives linking the matter to alleged “drink spiking”.
In a public notice dated August 25, 2026, the management expressed concern over what it described as the spread of unverified information surrounding the case.
The team clarified that claims relating to “drink spiking” do not form part of the allegations or charges currently before the UK court.
“We are particularly concerned by the volume of unverified narratives currently circulating, including claims referencing ‘drink spiking’, among other allegations, which do not form part of any of the allegations or charges before the court,” the statement read.
Poco Lee’s management urged members of the public and media organisations to avoid adding details that are not contained in the actual court case, warning that such narratives could fuel misinformation and unfairly prejudice those involved.
“We ask the public and media to desist from introducing details that are not part of the actual case, as doing so only fuels misinformation and causes unfair prejudice to all parties involved,” the team added.
The management also appealed to the public to allow the judicial process to run its course, stressing that allegations should not automatically be interpreted as proof of guilt.
“Allegations are not evidence of guilt, and no conclusions should be drawn until the matter has been heard and determined through the appropriate legal process,” the statement said.
The clarification comes amid intense online discussion surrounding Poco Lee’s reported legal proceedings in the UK, with several versions of the story circulating across social media.
