Georgina Rodriguez has confirmed that she and football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo are officially married, revealing that the couple exchanged their vows privately at their new summer home in Cascais, Portugal.

In a candid interview with Vogue Magazine, Rodriguez disclosed that the intimate ceremony took place on August 11, exactly 10 years after the day she and Ronaldo first met at a Gucci store in Madrid.

“Our wedding took place on August 11. The 10th year anniversary of the day we first met at a Gucci store in Madrid,” she said.

Rather than opting for a lavish ceremony, Rodriguez said the couple chose to get married in the living room of their home, surrounded by their children.

“We got married in our living room. In the future, we will have a big wedding, so we can celebrate with family and friends,” she explained.

Reflecting on her childhood dreams of having an extravagant wedding, Rodriguez said her priorities had changed with age and experience.

“When I was a little girl, I dreamt of the biggest castle, the biggest carriage, the longest dress, a crown full of diamonds. And now I’m saying: no. I want something intimate, with my partner and our children, at home,” she said.

The model and entrepreneur explained that the couple’s decision was influenced by their desire for privacy, noting that luxury and extravagance are already part of their everyday lives.

“Castles, houses, islands, horses, cars: We have all of that within reach every day. But something intimate—that’s more unusual for us,” she said.

Rodriguez described privacy as particularly valuable given their level of fame.

“In the economy of fame, privacy is priceless,” she said.

She added that they deliberately chose their living room because it represents the ordinary moments of their family life.

“We’ve chosen to do it in the living room of our house here, where we have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and where we live the reality of our lives,” she explained.

Looking ahead, Rodriguez said she hopes the intimate setting will become a treasured memory for their children decades from now.

“In 30 years, I want the children to think, ‘Something wonderful happened at this table—the wedding vows of our parents,’” she said.
