Popular singer B-Red, son of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has reportedly escaped a suspected assassination attempt in Osogbo.
The incident, said to have occurred on Wednesday afternoon around the Oke-Fia axis near the Government House, has since sparked security concerns and political reactions.
Recounting the experience, B-Red explained that he was on a routine outing when he noticed unusual movement around his vehicle.
According to him, several motorcycle riders began to close in on his car at a traffic point, before the situation escalated with the arrival of another vehicle.
He alleged that a white Toyota Venza approached with individuals shouting and attempting to identify him, after which a coordinated chase began.
The pursuit, he said, involved both the vehicle and multiple motorcycles attempting to block his movement, continuing until he was able to reach the safety of the Government House gate.
B-Red further claimed that one of the individuals involved was a known figure he identified as Asiri Eniba. The matter has since been reported to the police for investigation.
Reacting to the development, the Osun State Government has called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of those involved. The directive was communicated through a statement by Kolapo Alimi, urging security agencies to act swiftly.
As investigations unfold, the incident raises fresh concerns about safety, political tension and the vulnerability of public figures.
