A video of the General Overseer, Apostle Johnson Suleman made the rounds on April 27, though this time it was not for a fiery sermon or revival message, but for pointed political commentary.

In the viral clip, the cleric questioned why the current administration should begin talking about 2027 reelection campaigns when many Nigerians, according to him, are worse off than they were before 2023.

He cited rising insecurity, growing incidents of banditry, kidnapping and terrorism, alongside the surge in fuel prices and the value of the dollar against the naira, as signs of deepening hardship.
Driving home his point, Suleman argued that the strongest campaign for any government is performance, not promises.

His warning was blunt: if leaders have done well, the people will reward them with another term. If they have failed, they should go home, not return asking for fresh mandates.

The remarks have since stirred conversations among Nigerians, with many debating his criticism and broader concerns about governance ahead of the 2027 political season.
