Victor Osimhen has reacted to the 3-0 spanking by Galatasaray of bitter rivals Fenerbache.
Osimhen opened the scoring just before the break as Galatasaray shot past their closest rivals in the Turkish Super Lig to now open a seven-point gap at the top of the standings with only three rounds of matches to the end of the season.
Osimhen said he was far from impressed by the mind games Fenerbache embarked on leading up to ‘The Intercontinental Derby’.
“I can’t understand Fenerbache. They complained about the protector on my arm before the match against the best team in the league,” the Super Eagles striker said.
“It didn’t seem logical to me.
“But I came, I did my job and delivered my message in the best way possible.”
He added: “I’m proud of my team’s performance and happy about the victory.
“We have taken another step closer to our championship target.
“Samsunspor are a quality opponent, they are tough opponents, but we want to win every match from now on so as to finish the season well.”
