Just when it seemed the controversy surrounding Nkeiruka Okoro Blessing might begin to fade, a new voice has emerged, and this one comes with receipts.

Mrs. Deborah Mbara, a cancer survivor and creative director of Zazi Beauty Place, who has now stepped forward to tell her side of the story.

In a detailed video backed by chats, images, and personal testimony, Deborah painted a picture that feels less like coincidence and more like betrayal.

According to her, she and Blessing CEO were not strangers, but acquaintances. To support this, she shared a video from a past event where she personally handled Blessing’s makeup, establishing a level of familiarity between them.

The story, however, takes a darker turn.
Deborah revealed that sometime last year, Blessing reached out to her, opening up about a breast lump diagnosis. Like many would, Deborah responded with empathy, concern, and the instinct to help.

In what she believed was a private and supportive exchange, Deborah shared her own cancer diagnosis documents as a survivor, hoping it would guide or comfort someone she thought was genuinely in need, but according to her, that act of kindness may have been weaponised.

The same medical document she shared in confidence is now alleged to be the foundation of the controversial report circulating online, one that has been linked to Blessing CEO’s claims.

Deborah was quick to distance herself from the unfolding situation, making it clear that her intention was never to assist in any form of deception. If anything, she insists she was simply helping someone she believed to be a friend.

And perhaps that is where the weight of this story truly lies.
Not just in the allegations, but in the uncomfortable possibility that empathy, once given freely, may have been repurposed for public sympathy and financial gain.
