Kano Fire Service Saves N7bn Property in January

The Kano State Fire Service said it saved property worth N7 billion from fire incidents in January.
Alhaji Saminu Abdullahi, the spokesperson for the Service, disclosed this in a statement yesterday in Kano.
Abdullahi also said that the Service rescued four persons from outbreaks during the period under review.
He, however, said that five persons lost their lives while property worth N2 billion were destroyed by fire during the period.
“The Service responded to nine emergency calls and five false alarm from residents of the state.
“The Service pleaded with the public to adopt proper fire safety measures and to reduce occurrence of fire disasters across the state.
