“If You Have Evidence To Your Claims, Take It To Court” – Akpororo Blows Hot at Doris Ogala

Akpororo has never been associated with Nigeria’s newer, rather peculiar habit of converting every issue into content. He has traditionally kept to his comedy, delivered his punchlines, and quietly stepped away. However, his sudden interest in the ongoing Doris Ogala–Pastor Chris Okafor matter has raised eyebrows and, perhaps unintentionally, revived a saga many hoped would remain in 2025.

The sequence of events began when the comedian advised actress Doris Ogala to take her allegations off social media and allow the court of law to run its course. It was a straightforward suggestion, until it wasn’t. Shortly after, a veiled threat by Doris Ogala surfaced: that Akpororo’s alleged escapades with the pastor would be exposed, complete with supporting evidence.

Days went by. Timelines refreshed. The promised evidence failed to materialise.
Then, yesterday, January 22, 2025, Akpororo resurfaced with a 12-minute YouTube video, addressing what he described as Doris Ogala’s excesses. In one of the more pointed moments, he asked, “You have been mentioning names and calling out places. Why not take your evidence to court, since the matter is already before the court?”

The comedian further claimed that he had spoken directly with Pastor Chris Okafor and had also obtained access to documents allegedly signed by Doris Ogala in April 2025, which he insists she has since breached.

Just like that, a controversy many Nigerians were determined to leave behind found its way into the new year.
Let it be said that genuine efforts were made to sanitise 2026 of recycled sagas. but here we are nonetheless, watching familiar names trade words while the internet watches, waits, and refreshes.
