“Take This Out of Social Media” – Comedian Akpororo Advises Doris Ogala

What has become a long-drawn and rather messy saga involving actress Doris Ogala and the many parties she appears to be at war with has now attracted yet another voice, this time from the comedy corner.

Popular comedian Jephtha Bowoto, better known as Akpororo, has weighed in on the ongoing drama, offering what he believes is a dose of uncomfortable truth. And like most Nigerian commentaries, the timing was almost poetic.

While many were in church on Sunday, January 18, 2026, hands lifted, spirits stirred, and Holy Ghost catchers fully engaged, Akpororo took to social media, not to preach, but to question. According to him, the controversy has dragged on for this long not necessarily because of its gravity, but because one of the key figures involved, Pastor Chris Okafor, wears the title “pastor.”

In Akpororo’s view, similar or even worse issues play out daily across the country, involving people without collars or pulpits, and society barely blinks before moving on. But add a pastor to the mix, and suddenly the matter refuses to rest.

He further suggested that some of the loud support trailing the actress may not be entirely altruistic, hinting that clout, clicks, and digital relevance might be the real motivation. A gentle jab, perhaps, but one that landed squarely in the comment section.

His advice to Doris Ogala was simple, log out, step away from the social media jury, and resolve the matter privately with the pastor involved.

In a world where public opinion often doubles as a courtroom, Akpororo’s take adds yet another layer to a saga that seems determined to outlive the Sunday sermon cycle.
