…Party Insists Endorsements Prove Acceptance of FG’s Reforms

By John Paul

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has declared that the growing wave of endorsements for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections is proof that his reelection bid is already “settled.”

APC’s spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, said in a statement on Tuesday that the ruling party found it amusing that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) dismissed the endorsements as a sign of desperation.

Oladejo countered that it was the PDP, not the APC, that was in panic mode. He argued that the main opposition party had been reduced from “Africa’s largest” to what he described as “an empty kiosk,” battling internal threats while preparing for its convention.

“Panic is when members of a political party defect at the mere whisper of internal disagreement, scampering like headless chickens,” Oladejo said.
“If there’s any party on a shopping spree, it is the PDP – desperately shopping for presidential candidates as a reflection of its lack of depth.”

The APC spokesperson maintained that Tinubu’s endorsements reflect public acceptance of his reforms and leadership style.
“President Tinubu’s endorsements are not panic but proof – proof of reforms that are taking root, proof of courage that Nigerians admire, and proof of leadership that even PDP’s closet sympathisers quietly acknowledge,” he said.

He added that when destiny leads a man to the throne, “even his enemies clap unwillingly.”

Oladejo accused the PDP of wasting Nigeria’s wealth and opportunities during its 16 years in power, while Tinubu was now shouldering the heavy burden of reform.

“For avoidance of doubt, every endorsement of President Tinubu is another confirmation that 2027 is a settled matter. The PDP can only look forward to yet another humiliating defeat,” he declared.

According to him, the APC is focused on building while the PDP is bleeding:
“For APC, the journey continues. For PDP, the panic continues. The APC builds, PDP bleeds.”
