Governor  Hope Uzodimma yesterday told Imolites that every Autonomous community in Imo State must take it’s local security seriously.

He made it compulsory that every Autonomous community must set up local vigilante group to secure their autonomous community.. He made it clear that the President  General of every Autonomous Community is the chief Security Officer of his Autonomous Community.

He mandated the President-Genersls to open autonomous Community Security account, separate from the Town Union account.

The Governor promised to give every Autonomous community two million (#2000000) to take off the Vigilante Service

According to him this money will be paid to the security account, which will be managed by the President General (PG) , the Chief Security Officer of the community

He  further promised to submit a bill to the House of Assembly to differentiate the duties of HRH (EZE) and the autonomous community PGs. With this arrangement in place, no PG in Orodo will have excuses why he can not secure our bush.

The Governor also made it clear that the PGs must carry their EZE along by briefing their EZE from time to time..
