The vehicles were procured and presented to the Chairman and Directors of the State Revenue Service to enhance their functionality  and as recognition of their hard work and dedication to service.

He further stated that the vehicles will also serve as a morale booster to them for their outstanding performance in generating over N100 billion revenue in one year above the target given to the service.

“Honestly  this is unprecedented and commendable, I want to  thank the NGIRS and I  promised that seven more of such vehicles will arrive next month, to be allocated to those next in rank.

Governor Bago charged the Service to hit a trillion naira revenue generation by next year, adding that trailer parks would have been completed and commissioned by then; and that toll gates will be mounted, in partnership with the Federal Government,” he stated..

Governor Bago  who expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Revenue Service, said that they have been given the privilege to generate, pay their salaries and remit to the State Government.

The Chairman, Niger State Revenue Service, Alh. Muhammad Etsu, appreciated the Governor for the gesture, pointing out that the tremendous support the Service has been enjoying from the inception of the present administration translated to the huge amount of revenue they were able to generate.

He said the Service is now autonomous and self-sustaining explaining that the vehicles given to them will further encourage them to raise the revenue profile of Niger State.
