Nigerian socialite Yhemo Lee has humorously expressed his displeasure over being addressed as “Daddy Amirion” whenever he steps out for public events.
The socialite, who is also known as YL and Olowo Eko, said the experience has helped him understand why some women prefer to be addressed by their names rather than as their children’s mothers.
Yhemo Lee explained that he previously laughed at women who insisted on being called by their names after childbirth, questioning why they would object to being identified as their children’s mothers.
However, he said he now understands their perspective after noticing how people address him at shows.
“Only me, I am called Yhemo Lee, YL, Olowo Eko. But when people see me at shows, they would be shouting Daddy Amirion,” he said.
He added that being called “Daddy A” would be more acceptable because it could pass as a nickname, but people still insist on calling him “Daddy Amirion”.
The socialite jokingly complained that the title makes him look older than he feels, despite his personal style and public image.
