Nigerian singer Spyro has claimed that extravagant spending on women, parties, and luxury trips is one of the reasons some entertainers end up facing financial difficulties.
The “Who’s Your Guy” crooner made the remarks while addressing fans during a performance at an event over the weekend.
According to the singer, many young men make the mistake of spending recklessly on temporary pleasures instead of building long term wealth through savings and investments.
“If you are here and you are spending money on women, I think you are wasting your time. I’m not saying you should not spend on your woman, but use your head,” he said.
Spyro alleged that some of his colleagues squandered their early success on lavish lifestyles, frequent parties, and expensive trips abroad.
“I know some of my colleagues who went broke because they made their first bag and blew it off on parties and trips to South Africa. But I didn’t move that way, and that is why I am where I am,” he stated.
The singer also revealed that after achieving fame and financial success, several Instagram models reached out to him, including some who offered to sponsor luxury vacations abroad. However, he said he chose to remain focused on his music career and investments.
Spyro urged his fans to prioritize financial discipline, save consistently, and invest wisely rather than spending excessively on what he described as frivolities.
