Ghana’s entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of renowned actress and entrepreneur, Beverly Afaglo, who reportedly passed away after a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
Her manager, Abu Iddris, confirmed the heartbreaking development in an interview with *Ghana Weekend* on Sunday, May 24, revealing that the actress died on Saturday night at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema.
According to Iddris, Beverly’s health struggles began with breast cancer, which later worsened and spread due to its genetic nature.
The tragic news was first announced by her husband, musician Eugene Baah, popularly known as Choirmaster and a member of the Praye music group, in a social media post on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
She was 42 years old.
Despite her declining health, Iddris noted that Beverly remained deeply committed to her work and family, continuing to show strength and dedication throughout her treatment period.
Her passing has sparked an outpouring of grief across Ghana’s entertainment space, with fans and colleagues remembering her as a talented, resilient, and passionate figure whose presence left a lasting mark on the industry.
