Controversial Nigerian relationship expert Blessing Okoro Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has confirmed the death of her son while denying that she authorised anyone to solicit financial assistance on her behalf.
Blessing CEO, who is currently in prison, reportedly confirmed the tragic news during a phone conversation with actress Doris Ogala.
Her confirmation came after Amira Agiye, founder of the Isaamira Foundation, publicly announced the death and reportedly launched an appeal for financial support, including claims that money was needed to assist with Blessing CEO’s bail process.
According to Doris Ogala, Blessing CEO told her that she did not know Agiye and had not authorised her to raise money on her behalf.
“Please oo, if you have donated money, go and collect your money back from that lady. Blessing says she doesn’t know the lady. She didn’t ask her to raise money for her,” Doris said.
Doris also claimed that Blessing CEO was already close to completing her bail conditions and process, disputing reports that she was soliciting for N56 million.
“I’m aware that Blessing is almost done with her bail conditions and process, but saying that she’s soliciting for N56 million is a lie. And this is fraudulent,” she added.
Blessing CEO also reportedly denied authorising anyone to solicit financial assistance for her bail.
“I didn’t give anybody consent. And I think I’m in the best position to break the news of my son’s death, not an entire stranger,” she said.
The development has raised questions about who authorised the fundraising campaign and the circumstances surrounding the public announcement of her son’s death.
Doris subsequently urged people who had donated money through the reported appeal to request refunds, while Blessing CEO maintained that she had not given consent for anyone to raise funds on her behalf.
