Organisers of the PremiumTrust Bank Abuja City International Half Marathon have confirmed the start and finish points for the 21.1km race holding on Saturday, 14th November 2026, starting at 6:30 a.m.
The race will start at the Old Parade Ground, opposite the Federal Fire Service, on Mohammed Buhari Way, and finish at the Velodrome, inside the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
Organisers, Nilayo Sports Management Limited, say the event has been carefully planned to showcase the beauty of the Federal Capital Territory, while also giving elite runners a fast, flat and spectator-friendly course.
Organisers have confirmed enhanced medical support, security and route management for this year’s race, alongside entertainment zones along the course for spectators and families. To help runners cope with the heat, chilled water will be provided every 2.5 kilometres along the route, with a cold-water bath available at the finish area to help runners cool down after the race.
This year’s edition carries extra weight, as World Athletics officials are set to return to oversee the event, after overseeing proceedings at last year’s edition. They will monitor course measurement, timing, officiating, athlete welfare and compliance with global road-running standards.
The race was listed by World Athletics as a World Athletics Label Road Race, and its continued presence is a major boost for the credibility of the race, ensuring that results from Abuja are recognised internationally and that the event continues to grow on the global calendar.
The PremiumTrust Bank Abuja City International Half Marathon has rapidly become a fixture on Nigeria’s sports calendar, attracting elite runners, fitness enthusiasts and spectators eager to witness world-class competition through the capital’s streets.
