Social media commentator VeryDarkBlackMan has accused singer B Red of fraud and money laundering, questioning the legitimacy of endorsement deals reportedly worth ₦500 million after the singer recently bought a Lamborghini.
VeryDarkBlackMan questioned two endorsement deals B Red announced in 2025, pointing to what he described as identical serial numbers on cheques reportedly issued by the companies involved.
B Red, the son of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, reportedly announced a ₦200 million endorsement deal with Armstrong Paints Limited on February 5, 2025. A second cheque, said to be worth ₦300 million and linked to Evermark Homes, later surfaced around July 2025.
Questioning the cheques, VeryDarkBlackMan challenged the explanation behind the alleged similarity in their serial numbers.
“Please, ladies and gentlemen, can you explain to me how two different companies issued this guy a cheque with the same serial number?” he asked.
He also called on FCMB to clarify the matter, saying, “We need FCMB to explain that.”
The commentator further alleged that the endorsement deals could have served as a “smokescreen” to conceal the source of funds used to acquire the luxury vehicle.
“This is fraud. This is money laundering,” he declared, while questioning the reported spending against the backdrop of Osun State’s economic challenges.
However, the allegations remain claims made by VeryDarkBlackMan. The reported similarity in the cheque serial numbers does not, on its own, establish fraud or money laundering, and no independent confirmation of his allegations has been provided in the information available.
