The organisers of The Headies Awards have announced a new date for the 18th edition’s Toronto finale, moving the event to April 10 and 11, 2027.
In a statement shared on its official social media pages, the organisers said they were expanding the programme in Nigeria and Canada ahead of the Toronto finale.
The announcement also clarified that activities under the Road to The Headies programme would continue during the event’s originally scheduled period, although further details are yet to be released.
“To guests who have already made travel plans and other arrangements, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience,” the statement read.
The organisers thanked fans and guests for their patience and continued support, adding that further programme updates and guest information would be communicated through their official channels.
The revised schedule means guests who had already made travel and accommodation arrangements may need to review their plans ahead of the new dates.
The Headies has not provided further details about the reason for the rescheduling in the announcement.
