Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu broke down in tears while reflecting on the difficult period he went through during his health crisis, revealing how he lost several people he considered friends and faced painful personal challenges.

The veteran comedian became emotional while recounting some of the experiences he endured after undergoing a major health crisis that changed his life.

Agwu recalled how he coined the term “music comedy”, describing it as one of the ideas that reflected his creativity and the way his mind worked.

“Music comedy, I’m the one who stayed and formed that coinage. I’m the one that formed it. That’s to tell you how my brain is working,” he said.

However, the comedian became emotional as he reflected on the difficult circumstances that followed his health challenges.

“The God wey I dey serve, anybody wey get hand for wetin happen to me. I will be there and ask myself, what kind of life is this?” Agwu said.

He went on to reveal that some of his friends abandoned him during the period, while he also accused a bishop who had been managing him of collecting his money before communication between them eventually stopped.

“My friends deserted me. This bishop that I’m talking about, he was managing me, he collected my money, they stopped talking to me. It is well,” he said through tears.

Agwu’s health crisis became public in 2015 when he underwent surgery in the United States after doctors discovered two growths in his brain.

The comedian previously recounted how serious the situation became, claiming that he died during the medical ordeal and later regained consciousness while arrangements were being made to take him to the mortuary.

His health struggles were followed by other major personal challenges, including the end of his marriage.

Agwu has also previously spoken about losing people he considered friends during his most difficult period, making the latest emotional recollection another account of the personal toll the experience took on him.
