Nigerian comedian and content creator Carter Efe has been permanently banned from TikTok after repeatedly violating the platform’s community guidelines.
The ban, which took effect on Wednesday, has shut down his main TikTok account, where he had built a large following through comedy skits, music promotion and livestreams.
TikTok confirmed the development in a notification sent to Carter Efe, stating: “Your account was permanently banned because of multiple policy violations.”
Carter Efe rose to prominence through comedy content on social media before expanding his career into livestreaming and music.
The permanent ban represents a major setback for the entertainer, who had used TikTok as one of his key platforms for reaching audiences and promoting his various activities.
It remains unclear which specific posts or activities resulted in the violations that led to the permanent ban.
