Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has revealed that she turned down several lucrative offers, including opportunities linked to politics, which she believes could have easily made her a billionaire.

The actress made the revelation while speaking on an episode of the *Afropolitan Podcast*, where she discussed her career, personal values and the importance of remaining true to her principles.

According to Omotola, she has repeatedly found herself in situations where accepting certain offers could have earned her substantial amounts of money. However, she chose to walk away rather than compromise her beliefs or the values associated with her public image.

“If I wanted to be a billionaire, I would have been one easily. Because I have been in situations where no one would have known and I would have taken things and compromised my stance. But I would turn it down and walk away. Many times. Even in politics,” she said.

The actress explained that some of the opportunities she rejected were not necessarily wrong or unethical on the surface. However, she believed accepting them could gradually undermine the principles and beliefs she had built her identity around.

“I am talking about many times where I could have compromised my stance and got paid handsomely for it. But I said, ‘No.’ Sometimes, they are not necessarily bad things. They are just things that would just rock your foundation or belief systems,” she added.

Omotola admitted that she has sometimes been tempted to accept such offers, particularly when they appeared harmless. Nevertheless, she said she ultimately chose to walk away because of the possible long-term impact on her values and the message she represents.

“Sometimes, I am tempted to compromise because they don’t appear bad, but I would still walk away eventually. Because in the long run, it will dilute my message,” she explained.

The actress also revealed that whenever she turns down a major financial opportunity because it conflicts with her principles, she often experiences what she described as a financial miracle afterwards.
