Former Big Brother Naija winner, Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has marked the first anniversary of her sister’s death with an emotional tribute, while renewing her call for justice over the fatal accident.
Phyna took to Instagram to remember her late sister, exactly one year after her death, expressing the pain of living without her and accusing Dangote Group of failing to take responsibility over the incident.
In the post dated August 31, 2025, the reality TV star alleged that an underage truck driver involved in the incident was responsible for her sister’s death and claimed that the driver was still walking free.
“Dangote group killed my sister and never looked back,” Phyna wrote, adding that she believed the case had been “swept under the carpet.”
Reflecting on the past year, Phyna described her sister’s absence as a pain that time had not erased.
“One whole year without seeing you, hearing your voice, laughing with you, or simply knowing that you were somewhere in this world,” she wrote.
She said there were still moments when the loss felt as though it had happened only yesterday, adding that she wished she could have one more conversation, hug or laugh with her sister.
Phyna also reflected on how her sister’s death had changed her perspective on life, saying the experience had reminded her of how fragile life is and the importance of appreciating loved ones while they are still alive.
As she brought the emotional tribute to an end, the BBNaija winner apologised to her late sister for being unable to secure justice for her.
“I’m sorry I could not get you justice,” she wrote, using the hashtag #JusticeForEuth in her post.
One year after the tragedy, Phyna’s tribute has once again drawn attention to her family’s call for accountability and justice over the circumstances surrounding her sister’s death.
