The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) warmly appreciates the National Sports Commission (NSC) and the Enugu 2026 National Sports Festival Organising Committee for including Volleyball and Beach Volleyball in the forthcoming National Sports Festival.
The Federation particularly commends Mallam Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission, and Hon. Bukola Olopade, Director-General, for their leadership and commitment to the growth and development of volleyball in Nigeria.
The inclusion of both disciplines is a significant boost to talent identification, athlete development and competitive opportunities across the country. It will also strengthen the pathway for athletes from the grassroots to national and international competitions.
The NVBF therefore calls on all State Ministries/Departments responsible for Sports, State Sports Councils and State Volleyball Associations to commence preparations immediately and conduct trials to select their best Volleyball and Beach Volleyball athletes for Enugu 2026.
