“Bring the Proof” — VDM Reacts to Ms Jorji’s Sexual Assault Allegations Against Poco Lee

Social media activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has reacted to sexual assault allegations made by rapper Ms Jorji against Nigerian dancer Poco Lee, urging the public not to treat unverified claims as established facts.

Ms Jorji had accused Poco Lee of attempting to sexually assault her and her friends about two years ago. Her allegations surfaced following a news report by Arise News, alleging that the dancer had been arrested in the United Kingdom over an alleged rape.

Reacting to the controversy, VDM said he was not accusing Ms Jorji of lying but questioned aspects of her account and called for evidence before conclusions were drawn.

“I am not saying you are lying, because I wouldn’t. It’s your story to share. But sometimes, people can still come out and lie,” he said.

VDM also questioned how some details involving Ms Jorji’s friend could be known if she was not personally present when the alleged incident occurred. He further raised questions about the sequence of events and the evidence reportedly presented to the police.

The activist warned against prematurely cancelling individuals based solely on allegations circulating online, noting that social media accusations can have serious consequences for those involved.

“What if Poco Lee is trying to do an endorsement deal and he’s competing with another person for the endorsement deal, and the person just decided to spark up this kind of rumour?” he asked.

VDM stressed that his comments should not be interpreted as a declaration that Poco Lee could not have committed the alleged offence.

“I’m not saying that he cannot do it. I am saying that I want proof, not ‘they say, they say.’ Bring proof. Let’s see the evidence,” he said.

He concluded: “If you don’t have proof, Poco Lee didn’t do it. Once you start bringing proof, no problem. But for now, I take it say no do.”
