Nigerian comedian and actor Bovi Ugboma has shared his candid views on marriage and divorce, revealing that he does not see the end of a marriage as a failure in every situation.
Speaking during an appearance on The Morayo Show, Bovi reflected on the challenges of balancing marriage, fatherhood, and a demanding entertainment career.
The comedian stated that he often sees divorce as a sign that individuals are choosing freedom and peace over remaining in an unhealthy relationship.
According to him, when a marriage ends, it may indicate that one or both partners were no longer thriving within the relationship.
“I celebrate when people get divorced because I feel it means one or two people were not breathing well inside that space,” he said.
Despite his views on divorce, Bovi was quick to clarify that his comments should not be interpreted as a dismissal of marriage. He revealed that he has been married for 17 years and acknowledged that the journey has not always been easy.
The entertainer noted that successful marriages require commitment, sacrifice, and continuous effort, adding that his own relationship has faced challenges over the years.
Bovi also reflected on getting married at the age of 29, describing marriage and parenthood as experiences that have shaped his personal growth and perspective on life.
