A video allegedly showing the potential Executive Chairman of Nkanu East Local Government Area, Engr. Mike Ogbuekwe, involved in a domestic violence incident has sparked reactions online.
According to reports circulating on social media, the politician, who was reportedly nominated on the platform of the All Progressives Congress for the Nkanu East chairmanship position, was seen in the viral clip during a heated confrontation with a woman believed to be his wife.
In the video, the woman was heard protesting against being recorded while also alleging that she had been assaulted by several men allegedly invited by her husband.
Reports further claimed that the politician seized the woman’s phone and handed it over to another man present at the residence during the incident.
The footage, which has since gone viral online, also showed the visibly tense environment around the residence, with luxury vehicles reportedly seen parked within the compound.
