The incumbent senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has emerged victorious in the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary election, defeating former Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, by a landslide margin.
According to results compiled by the APC National Assembly Primary Committee and obtained by KTH Daily, Senator Dafinone polled a commanding 116,252 votes across the eight local government areas of Delta Central Senatorial District, while Omo-Agege secured only 3,643 votes.
Amour Udemude, the Sahara Reporters Correspondent on ground, confirmed to KTH Daily that the results were officially collated by Okiemute Benjamin, the Collation Officer, and read out by Nusa Amagbor, Secretary of the APC National Assembly Primary Committee, with support from committee member Abimbola Samuel Dart.
