In a turn of events that caught many by surprise, businessman Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as BLord, has regained his freedom earlier than expected.

Contrary to the previously speculated release date of 26 April, the entrepreneur was released on 20 April 2026 from Kuje Prison, following the intervention of Omoyele Sowore and a team of legal representatives.

Videos circulating online captured moments of jubilation as BLord stepped out, visibly relieved and surrounded by supporters.

In his first remarks after regaining freedom, he expressed gratitude to Sowore, his legal team, and Nigerians who amplified calls for his release.
The development has quickly shifted the narrative.

Now, attention turns to what comes next.
Because in Nigeria’s fast moving social and political space, freedom is often just the beginning of another chapter.
