The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, fixing the cost of its presidential nomination form at N100 million and governorship form at N50 million.

Details of the timetable, signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, show that the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms will commence on Saturday, April 25, 2026, and close on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

According to the schedule, the APC presidential primary is slated for Friday, May 15 to Saturday, May 16, 2026. The House of Representatives primaries will follow on Monday, May 18, while Senate primaries are fixed for Wednesday, May 20. State House of Assembly primaries will hold on Thursday, May 21, with governorship primaries scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026.

The party also outlined the cost of forms for various elective offices, pegging the State House of Assembly form at N6 million, House of Representatives at N10 million, Senate at N20 million, governorship at N50 million, and the presidential form at N100 million.

In the statement, the APC reaffirmed its commitment to credible internal processes, noting that the timetable provides a clear framework for aspirants and stakeholders ahead of the polls.

“The APC reassures members, stakeholders, and Nigerians of its commitment to conducting a credible and transparent primary election that will further strengthen the party’s internal democracy and consolidate its progressive ideals,” the statement read.

The timetable, earlier endorsed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, also outlines timelines for screening, appeals, and other pre-primary activities.

Observers say the early release of the schedule is expected to give aspirants ample time to prepare, while setting the stage for early political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has also unveiled its provisional timetable for the 2027 polls, fixing its presidential nomination process at a combined cost of N75 million.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara, the party said its National Working Committee had approved the schedule in line with the timetable of the Independent National Electoral Commission and provisions of the Electoral Act 2026.

According to APGA, the sale and submission of expression of interest forms will begin on 20 April and end on 8 May, while screening of aspirants will take place on 11 May for the National Assembly, 12 May for State Houses of Assembly, and 13 May for governorship candidates.

Nomination forms will be available from May 14 to May 21, with primary elections scheduled for May 23 across wards using the Option A4 voting system. Appeals arising from the primaries are expected to be handled on May 28.

Opara disclosed that expression of interest forms cost N25 million for the presidency, N6 million for the Senate, N4 million for the House of Representatives, N10 million for governorship, and N2 million for State Assembly seats.

He added that nomination forms are priced at N50 million for the presidency, N15 million for the Senate, N12 million for the House of Representatives, N25 million for governorship, and N6 million for State Assembly positions.

According to him, aspirants must first purchase and submit expression of interest forms and pass the screening process before becoming eligible to obtain nomination forms.

Opara said the adoption of the Option A4 voting system is aimed at enhancing transparency and reducing electoral malpractice within the party, describing the release of the timetable as a key step in APGA’s preparations for the 2027 general elections.
