…President, in Yola, Lauds Armed Forces, Ribadu’s Role in National Security

By Abu Adamu
President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s determination to decisively end banditry and terrorism troubling parts of the country, declaring that Nigeria would ultimately triumph over its security challenges.

The President gave the assurance on Monday in Yola while inaugurating projects executed by Umaru Fintiri, Governor of Adamawa State.

Commending the Armed Forces of Nigeria for their resilience and sacrifices, Tinubu pledged sustained federal backing for security personnel in the discharge of their constitutional duties.

“We are grateful to the Nigerian Armed Forces for their commitment to liberating Nigeria from banditry and insurgency. Together, we will win,” the President stated.

He also urged state governors and citizens to work collaboratively in strengthening development efforts across the federation.

“We continue to encourage our governors, and we call on citizens to give them maximum cooperation in developing their states and the country at large.

“As your leader, I assure you of my continuous service and sacrifice. Nigeria is ours to build. I am a very happy man,” he added.

The Commander-in-Chief praised Governor Fintiri for the infrastructure projects undertaken in Adamawa, describing them as impactful and people-oriented.

Tinubu equally acknowledged the contributions of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, an indigene of Adamawa State, for his efforts in coordinating national security operations.

The President described Ribadu, a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police and former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, as a distinguished son of the North-East committed to safeguarding the nation.

Stressing confidence in Ribadu’s leadership, Tinubu said ongoing security operations were already yielding tangible results.

“I must say clearly here that you are doing an excellent job and we are seeing the results.

“With you, we will defeat the bandits and terrorists. You are a good National Security Adviser, honest, bold, courageous and committed to the job. I believe the state of Adamawa is strongly proud of you — and of course, I am too,” the President said.
