Following rumours of a break-up between former Big Brother Naija couple BamBam and Teddy A, Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe, has unexpectedly found himself dragged into online speculation.
Some blogs have suggested that Uzor may be linked to the alleged strain in the couple’s marriage, largely due to his recent romantic on-screen roles, particularly alongside BamBam, where their chemistry as “Odogwu and Achalugo” gained popularity among fans.
However, with no factual evidence to support the claims, the narrative has continued to circulate across gossip platforms.
Clearly unwilling to let the rumours slide, Uzor Arukwe took to his X (formerly Twitter) account yesterday to address the issue directly. Calling out a particular blogger for repeatedly pushing what he described as a baseless narrative, the actor did not mince his words in defending his name:
“A specific account has been identified to spread false rumors and baseless accusations about me and my professional engagement with another colleague in the industry. I choose not to quote the account directly, as I refuse to give such accounts the engagement they seek at the risk of jail time. Believe me when I say this: that individual will be made a scapegoat so others learn to respect boundaries and refrain from chasing clout and Elon Musk money at the expense of da aging someone else’s reputation.”
As online speculation continues to blur the line between fiction and reality, Uzor’s response serves as a reminder that on-screen chemistry does not always translate to off-screen truth.
