Victor Osimhen played the entire 2025 AFCON in Morocco with injury, according to Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle.
In an RMC After Afrique podcast, the Super Eagles coach revealed: “Victor Osimhen arrived at the Africa Cup of Nations injured.
“He played the entire tournament with a mild hamstring injury.
“Victor has an iron will. Even if it meant risking his health, he wanted to help his country.
“There are very few players who would agree to step onto the field in such a situation.”
He further praised the remarkable work ethics of the Galatasaray star striker: “Osimhen is a complete machine.
“In every training session, if he doesn’t do that special goal drill for the forwards, he goes crazy, if he doesn’t score those goals by the end of practice, he’s never satisfied.
“When training starts, he’s the first one on the field, and when it ends, he’s the last one to leave. This guy wants to win everything.”
