Tanzania’s head coach, Miguel Gamond, has shared his strategy for the team’s opening match against Nigeria’s Super Eagles in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference yesterday, Gamond said Tanzania will approach Nigeria with the mentality to play, try to get the ball and attack Eric Chelle’s men.
Nigeria will face Tanzania in an AFCON match on Tuesday evening in Morocco.
“We are excited to participate in this AFCON, we are ready for tomorrow’s game against Nigeria,” Gamond said.
“It will be a very difficult tough game but we are, but a very nice challenge for us.
“We need to work and try to neutralize Nigeria but our mentality is to play, try to get the ball and attack as well.”
Tanzania are in Group C alongside Nigeria, Uganda and Tunisia.
