What looked like a regular celebrity love story, simply ‘going through a phase’ became a full-blown Nollywood plot twist when Daddy Freeze Instagram’s unofficial Court of Public Opinion decided to sprinkle some holy kerosene on the already blazing Tuface–Natasha saga. Just like that, a marital misunderstanding turned into a live, unscripted reality show featuring none other than Caca Igbokwe, son of highlife icon Christy Igbokwe and the man now steering Tuface’s managerial affairs.
On Monday, December 1st, Daddy Freeze, unable to reach the iconic “Olele” crooner directly, opted for the next best thing, hearing from those close enough to smell the marital smoke firsthand. Luckily for him (and for the viewing public who live for premium tea), Tuface’s management was more than willing to dish their two cents about life since the legend tied the knot with the Edo Honourable.
Caca Igbokwe did not come to play. In fact, he came armed with talking points, and the kind of confidence only people holding “proof” possess. Among the claims he lobbed into the internet were: Natasha allegedly throwing a bottle at Tuface in Nigeria before the London incident, Natasha holding on to the phone through which Tuface receives credit alerts, and the shocker: that the music icon is allegedly sliding into debt, with unpaid staff quietly waiting for their salaries like patient landlords and the cause of this is their dealings in hard drugs.
However, the real plot twist, the moment that snapped the proverbial camel’s back, happened when Tuface himself joined the live session. Instead of the calming presence fans hoped for, viewers were met with an unexpected quarrel between a couple. Just when things were about to settle, Natasha’s voice chimed in from the background: “Let them see us together.” And that, ladies and gentlemen, was the moment the live session turned from interview to episode one of a series none of us asked for.
