Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has felicitated the Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty, the Obi, Prof. Epiphany Azinge as he clocked 70.
The governor’s felicitation was conveyed in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba yesterday.
He hailed the distinguished traditional ruler for his enduring commitment to peace, unity, and the cultural renaissance of Asaba Kingdom.
He described Azinge as a revered traditional ruler, erudite scholar, and symbol of honour, whose impactful reign and exemplary academic legacy continued to inspire pride among the people of Asaba and across Delta.
“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I heartily congratulate your majesty on the glorious celebration of your platinum jubilee.
“Your reign, though still young, has reflected your deep-rooted values of peace, inclusiveness, and progressive leadership.
“As an accomplished academic and a custodian of culture, you have brought renewed prestige to the traditional institution and honour to our dear state,” Oborevwori said.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to supporting the traditional institution and assured the Asagba of continued collaboration in advancing the collective aspirations of the Asaba people.
He prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, and good health upon the monarch, wishing him many more fruitful years of peaceful and prosperous reign.
