The Xtreme Search Reality TV Show, has urged President Bola Tinubu to curb entertainment content that promotes immorality and erodes values among Nigerian youths.
The reality show is a project of Psalmist Missionary Global Outreach Inc.
The group’s message is contained in a statement signed by its President, Mr Abuoma Achuka, and its Secretary, Mr Ferdinand Ndianaekwijte, and made available to newsmen yesterday in Lagos.
The group therefore urged the Federal Government to make morality, decency, and value-based entertainment a national standard.
“Protecting innocence and promoting virtue should be our guiding principle in shaping the future of our youth,” the statement said.
“Some reality TV shows and media projects are doing the exact opposite, exposing our young people to moral decadence, nudity, and lifestyles that undermine our cultural and spiritual values,” it added.
The group emphasised the need to replace negative influences with godly role models, value-driven entertainment, and positive youth mentorship.
It called for programmes that nurtured talent without promoting nudity, inspired faith, and celebrated character over physical appearance.
According to the group, the campaign against immoral content is not about stifling creativity but about preserving Nigeria’s moral fabric.
“We cannot afford to compromise our morals for the sake of entertainment. Our children deserve content that builds, not destroys; that inspires, not corrupts.
“Ban immoral projects, save our youth. Immorality and public indecency have no place in Nigeria.
“Together, we can inspire a generation through faith, integrity, and positive values,” the group added.
