Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed has given over N15 million and six cows to the media family to assist them in the celebration of Eid el-Adha.
Special Advicer to the Governor on Media/Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado who made the presentation of the animals and cash, stated that the gesture is part of the Governor’s ongoing support to working journalists and other media-related associations and groups, which promote various activities of his administration.
Mukhtar Gidado urged the leadership of the various groups to ensure judicious and transparent distribution of the cows and cash for the benefit of all members.
He encouraged the beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by being continuously supportive in their reportage of Government policies and programs.
Responding, Chairmen of various unions, associations, groups, and conglomerates expressed gratitude to the Governor for his unwavering support during festive periods and pledged their continuous support to the administration at all times.
Beneficiaries of the Governor’s benevolence comprise Government house crew, correspondents’ chapel of the NUJ, Bauchi State Council of the NUJ, Rapid Response Group (Yan Kare Muradu), Social Media Collectives, Kauran Bauchi Singers Association, KABASIA, First Lady Media Crew, Integrity Group, Media Executives, and Veteran Journalists, among others.
