CBN Junior Tennis Championships serves-off April 29

The 2025 CBN Junior Tennis Championship, which has been the bedrock of the development of tennis in Nigeria, has been scheduled to start from Tuesday, April 29 to Saturday, May 3 in Lagos.

The preliminaries and group stages of the tournament which has produced all the current champions at the senior level will take place at the refurbished Mainland Tennis Club at the National Stadium while the grand finale will take place at the prestigious Lagos Lawn Tennis Club which had hosted world champions like Arthur Ashe, Paul Haarhuis and the Williams sisters.

Followers of the game in Nigeria will be looking forward to exciting rivalries in the Girls 16  where Aina Goodness from Ekiti  is vying  to overtake her team mate, Gloria Samuel, the No.1 and in the Boys 14 where Abuja-based Goodluck

Tersoo and Issah Yahaya and Joel Michael of Lagos are expected to continue their rivalry for top spot.

Players, coaches and parents from outside Lagos are expected to arrive today, April 28 with matches expected to start from 10 am tomorrow, April 29.
