Wife of the former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, Beatrice Ekweremadu has been released from prison in the United Kingdom and is now back in Nigeria.
She and her husband, were jailed last year over an attempt to harvest the organ of a young Nigerian boy to fix the health of their daughter Sophia. The boy was lured away from his hawking business in Lagos.
Daily Post gathered from a reliable source on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2025 that Beatrice returned to Nigeria on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025
despite pleading poor health in court, Beatrice alongside her husband, Ike, and one Doctor Obinna Obeta, were sentenced to prison by a UK court for their involvement in organ harvesting with the husband bagging ten years and Beatrice six years.
Her return is reportedly being celebrated across Enugu State, with many praying to have the husband back in the shortest possible time.
